I’m just a lover girl! ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
Crushes… what a beautiful, wonderful and sometimes tricky thing to experience in life. Daydreaming, creating fake scenarios of me and someone else ending up together forever and ever and ever is my favorite! Ugh, it’s the cutest feeling in the entire world! But… It can also be a letdown. I asked a few of my friends about crushes and for the most part they all seem to enjoy the experience. Although, my friend Anthony gave an answer that left me pondering for a while because he brought up a good point. This is what he said, “I’d argue limerence is one of the most enjoyable parts, but most people can’t live up to that fantasy we create and that leads to disappointment. Double edged sword I guess”. And he’s so RIGHT! This has happened to me a few times and it totally sucks when they turn out to be complete assholes, or dumb, or a creep, or all the above! It’s left me wishing I never met them in the first place because now when they come to mind I get the BIGGEST ICK of my entire life! I have a story I’ll be sharing on my podcast about this, it not only disappointed me entirely but it taught me a great lesson lol. Let’s be real though, we can’t blame the person for not fitting the role we’ve assigned to them in our imagination. But it’s like can you blame me?! The feelings just lead to endless thoughts of passion that I just simply can’t help myself. Hehe. This topic has been on my mind a lot lately, because you know February, the month of love or whatever. So far, I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t need a man, but I WANT a man… to crush on. Maybe not right now, but then again maybe right now. See my dilemma? Lo quiero pero no lo quiero, pos quien me entiende. What was interesting to find out from my male friends was that most of them seemed to agree that daydreaming was a waste of time… if you’re BORING just say that! Just kidding but like c’mon I know ya’ll are the biggest simps out there ahh! Then again men are more logical, so I guess it makes sense. I’m sure they do fall into fantasies, but they are able to turn that off, where I personally would rather NOT. Keep the movie rolling please! My girl friends had the same opinion as I, saying that it makes life a little more interesting, exciting, something to look forward to but it can distract us from reality. *sighs into a daydream* ANYWAY, I’ll be speaking a little bit more on my podcast about this so be sure to stay tuned! Listen, Mich! Podcast on Spotify, soon to be on apple podcasts (had to plug in my shit real quick :P). I’d love to know what your thoughts are on the subject. Would you rather or would you rather not? Is it something that makes your days more exciting? Or is it a distraction?
At the end of the day… I’m just a LOVER GIRL! <3
